VAT is currently 15%, at the time of publishing this website. (27 Nov 2007)

The Cyprus Government introduced VAT to property sales as from the 1st May 2004. Properties where a Planning Application was made before that date became exempt from VAT. All those with a Planning Application after that date qualified for VAT to be added to the property price. You will note that some of our prices indicate that VAT is not applicable. This is the reason.

After the 1st of June 2008, the Government will introduce VAT on land purchases. As this comes into force we will be aware of the rules, and how it is to be applied.

The rules, regulations, and rates of  VAT are controlled by the Cyprus Government, and are subject to change at any time. We therefore recommend that any purchaser checks the current situation with us.
